The Rise of a New Colonization
Once they control all food systems and have the full surveillance array in place, it may be too late for effective rebellion
I came across an article on the Children’s Health Defense site discussing how elitist Bill Gates and the usual Silicon Valley players have taken over “nature.” Big corporations are on track to transform nature itself and their vision isn’t rooted in truth, beauty, and goodness — far from it. Their plans are deeply rooted in greed and power.
The article focuses on a conversation between Vandana Shiva, Ph.D. and political commentator, Russell Brand, on an episode of his Stay Free podcast. They discussed how these mega-corporations have the power to own every single aspect of food production, whilst dumping all associated waste into public waterways.
Shiva says the situation we’re in today could not have happened without the mainstream media essentially attacking farmers rather than these food corporations.
“If the drivers are the corporations, you have to have the guts to bite the corporations. You don’t target the victims. The farmers are the victims of this system,” she said.
A New Colonialism Emerges
The giant corporations and billionaires have ushered in a new era of colonialism through their control over all of our food systems. Shiva, born and raised in India, points out that under colonialism in India, the British controlled the land, but did not control the food.
The rise of industrialized agriculture, globalization, and — believe it or not — the ‘green revolution’ created the perfect setting for corporations, financed by philanthropists like Bill Gates and the likewise personality disordered Silicon Valley nouveau riche crowd.
Shiva added, “Now those people want to complete the separation of people from the land that began with colonialism. Today, they want ‘farming without farmers.’”
The uprising of farmers around the globe and increasing calls for food sovereignty are calling for the opposite of the burgeoning food dictatorship, the new colonialism. One of the most frustrating aspects of this are the mainstream media and how their news reports actually attack the farmers, calling their protests “far right wing.”
The media are targeting the victims — the farmers — just as Shiva said above. In doing so, they’re acting as agents for the globalists, using their influence and reach to bring their work into full fruition. In fact, Shiva says, anyone aiding the globalists are the true fascists, not the farmers.
Farmgirl request: Buy me a coffee? It really helps me continue to my work. Secret: It’s not really for coffee. Every little bit helps with the farm and research efforts. See link directly below this plea.
Your smart appliance isn’t for your convenience, it’s a control tool
Bear with me as I relay the following personal story. It’s relevant to our subject matter, I promise.
Almost 2 years ago, my dishwasher broke irreparably, so we went bought a new one. I wanted a powerful one with two washing arms, stainless steel interior and exterior, steam cleaning option, and hidden control buttons for a sleek look. That’s not too much to ask for, is it?
We found it. The price was a little more than DS wanted to pay, but he did it anyway because I wanted it. He installed it and there it was, shining and minimalist (you know, because of the hidden buttons). But as I giddily read through the manual (yes, I was giddy), I looked on in horror as I learned that my sleek appliance had the ability to connect to WiFi.
Why, on God’s green Earth, would a dishwasher need to connect to WiFi? On further reading, the manual stated that by connecting the appliance to our home Internet, I would gain the ability to download fancy cleaning options and programs that go beyond all my fancy buttons. Obviously, I never connected it to our WiFi, but I worried that it could, somehow, connect itself. I put that concern aside and went on with life.
Less than a year later, it broke! We paid over $375 (I think) for the repairman to fix it. He had to install a new motor and a new control panel. It was only after he left that I realized he had installed an inferior version of the control panel — the one without my cherished hidden buttons. The washer with the hidden controls cost about $300 more than the stepped down model. DS was very salty, if you can imagine that sweet thing being in such a mood.
But, the new, lower level installation had no option for connecting to WiFi! Winning!
With that in mind, Shiva says she wonders why people would even want to have a smart home or smart appliance. “…the fridge will tell you your milk is getting old. How dumb are we getting that we can’t open the door of our fridge and know our milk is getting old?” She added, “All that is surveillance data.”
We should be using technology, not the other way around. In our desacralized culture, we have made technology a god, for in reality, there are no true atheists. Humans are hard-wired to worship and when we reject the metaphysical, the Eternal, the Truth, we will fill that void with something else.
Resist the darkness with all of your might
Ways to resist the encroaching darkness — that hideous strength.
Guard your time with great care. Use technology and refuse to allow it to use you. Plant something good. Walk barefoot. Play silly games with your kids or even your spouse. Read real books. Handwrite letters to people. Smile at grouchy looking people in the grocery store. Live every moment like a little prayer.
Just be real and open your mind to Truth, Beauty, and Goodness. XOXO
