So, “crunchy, flag waving, patriotic, pro baby, toxically masculine, pro gun, nationalist, Christian, nationalist Christian”. Also caucasion male but I typically leave that out. Am I missing anything?
I strongly suspect that Justin Horowitz has soft hands, and lives in a deep urban setting and has zero idea of where his energy or food comes from (the supermarket obviously!). These types LOVE trying to make energy and agricultural policy. He would perish in 24 hours if lost the woods. This possibility would probably not concern him.
I agree Steven, he’s got the soft hands of a newborn, but even worse — his personal fortitude and integrity are probably incredibly mushy as well. I also concur that he would not fare well lost in the woods, the mountains, the desert, or ANY place where one must use his wits and creativity to have a chance of survival. I’m not saying I would fare well in the desert, etc., but I do have some idea about things that just might give me a chance.
Samantha, and the funniest thing of all is that there really is no such thing as race! Mitochondrial Eve is the mother of us all, so says peer corroborated science. So how about if we finally start going in a colorblind direction 😊
I know, David! I’ve taught my whole family about mitochondrial Eve and many other things along those lines, which I’ve learned from some (ahem) alternative scientific sources. These panderers claim sex is some kind of “social construct” (which it obviously is not); yet, it’s the concept of race which is a social construct.
Welp, if living inverted seems “fun” to them, so be it. We know how to truly live joyfully and have fun when it comes about, David. Eyes on the prize, right?
i like normal fun . . . they claim normal fun is racist lol . . . there ain't much sense carrying on a conversation with those people . . . so i don't and then i go about my normal fun, racist that i am!
Hahaha I thought the same thing, Christopher! I mean, whatever happened to the tenet that we shouldn’t fear our government, it’s our government that should fear US if they start to lean tyrannically.
I just came back in from preparing a garden bed, and read this.
Yes, the bits of "homesteading" that I do are partially motivated by a "desire for independence form the mainstream". And frankly I think that anybody who doesn't harbor at least a bit of "anti-government sentiment" is a fool.
But equating any of that with racism is the kind of non-sequitir that non-thinking people on the left make all the time.
So true Jeremia. And I’m glad you pointed out that having at least “some” mistrust of the government is healthy. I didn’t distrust the government when I was VERY young, but that began to change slowly. Still it wasn’t a hard distrust. But the “plague” of 2020 catapulted my general skepticism and distrust to the way I am now. I probably don’t even need to describe it. You already know.
Funny how the meaning of liberalism has been turned upside down over the last decades. 🙃
When I was a kid growing up in California in the 60’s I was mesmerized by the hippies in San Francisco. I especially loved how they embraced a lifetyle of back to nature, and growing their own food. During the late 60’s my cousin lived in a commune up in northern California mountains near Lake Tahoe… to the shock of her affluent Tiburon parents. They did not have electricity, and all lived off the land. I have a photograph of her bathing her children by the river in a giant trough used for feeding livestock.
I can’t speak for her, but many of those early free thinking hippies now promote an imprisoned lifestyle where cattle are killed off like the great Bison kills from the mid 1800’s in the name of saving the environment. 😞
I just love when you comment on my thoughts, etc., and include wisdom and/or a story from earlier in your life. I agree with you that today’s “hippie culture” promotes a distorted version of what people say they were about before.
And EVERYTHING has been inverted nowadays at least to some extent. This fact is quite concerning to me. It’s up to us to do our best to continue carrying on the best we can and uphold the good, the true, and the beautiful — the way others did in the past.
It’s always a joy and honor when you offer your wisdom in my comment section, Charlotte. Thank you, love!
I loved 'Orthodoxy' but I haven't read much of GKC's poetry. I had to read 'The Stolen Child' before I fully understood what he was getting at in 'Mortal Answers.' Good stuff.
If it weren't for Matt Walsh occasionally poking fun at them, I wouldn't even have realized that Media Matters was still around. I can't think of a project that has changed fewer minds. As you noted, their main impact seems to be convincing people like us that those whom they demonize 'have all the right enemies.'
Yes Orthodoxy is an amazing read. Chesterton’s poetry is exquisite (at least to me). Lepanto by Chesterton is amazing. I had never read anything from Media Matters until I accidentally came across that article when searching for something else. What a rag. And the article is full of lies and assumptions! So ridiculous.
Hi Ron! I LOVE making sandwiches. When the tomatoes are ready (we have about 40 tomato plants this year), come on over and I’ll serve you a delicious tomato sandwich on my homemade sourdough bread! I’ll add more pictures when things are a bit bigger and fruiting.
Don't be encouraging me with farm food! My wife has happily fallen onto the sourdough bread path. You can't go wrong. Our spring is lagging here in PA but trust me; it'll be on! Be looking for those veggie pics, Samantha!
Yay! How long has she been making sourdough? My husband and kids LOVE it. I still have a lot to learn, but have now dried some of my starter for long term storage!
So, “crunchy, flag waving, patriotic, pro baby, toxically masculine, pro gun, nationalist, Christian, nationalist Christian”. Also caucasion male but I typically leave that out. Am I missing anything?
Haha Steve — your description makes me swoon! You didn’t leave anything out.
Great article. VERY timely.
Hard to believe...how far we have come...only to be told to turn around and take 100 years of steps forward...backward by our government.
It’s quite disturbing, Matthew. Every time I think nothing else “they” do can astonish me, they’re like, “Hold my beer!”
The real hard part...is they are hold nothing back. They are getting really bold and TELLING us what they are going to do TO us.
Yes! They always HAVE said just what they plan to do. It’s a demonic rule.
Perfect, I just subscribed to all of them ✅
Haha Wonderful, Cynthia! I did too, though we were already subscribed to two of them. Great publicity for these people!
In their face! 😂
BOOM! 💥

oh them sillie lib wabbits . . . here a racist, there a racist, everywhere a racist racist
Haha yes! When everything is racist, nothing is racist. 🥕 what’s up doc? 🥕

Do these numbnuts not know the KKK is about as far left as it gets?
Hahahaha so glad you pointed that out, James. And, no they absolutely do not know that!
1. Hitler breathed air.
2. You breathe air
.˙. You are Hitler.
Indeed, Christopher!
💥
They say "hard anti-government mindset" like it's a bad thing…
Hahaha I thought the same thing, Christopher! I mean, whatever happened to the tenet that we shouldn’t fear our government, it’s our government that should fear US if they start to lean tyrannically.
Horowitz.....
Every.Single.Time.
I hadn’t had the pleasure of coming across Mr. Horowitz before, Esborogardius! I imagine this won’t be my last time. Ugh.
Awesome just like Jesus I am subversive 🙏🙌
We need many more men like you, Bradley!
Thank you Samantha I appreciate that 😊
My pleasure!

Guessing Mr. Horowitz won’t be coming to visit us at Shady Grove anytime soon.
That’s good, because my dogs can smell a wretched, leftist statist at the gate, 1/4 mile away.
Haha I doubt he’d pay y’all a visit — unless he wanted to interview you for another hit piece! Dogs could have a snack.
NoooOOooOOOO you can't just grow your own food and medicine! That's racist!
Hahaha apparently…but I’m growing on anyway, Fukitol! Appropriate name you have there for times like these.
Don't hate me because I want a fresh tomato sandwich! 🍅😁 Thanks Samantha; like that poem. Your garden is looking happy!

She's been at it maybe 6 months. Crunchy crust, chewy, butter and ahhh!
Same! I’ve been doing it 5 or 6 months. I’m making 2 loaves today!
There you go!👌
